Family Festival for Hope

June 23, 2011, 3-8 p.m., Main St. and Liberty, Ann Arbor

The Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital share a long and important partnership, as well as a common goal--supporting children and families as they face serious illness or injury.

This year, Ronald McDonald House is joining Mott in another way, through The Event on Main, which is a multi-year fundraising endeavor to fund the new Mott Hospital. The Ronald McDonald House will host the Family Festival for Hope as part of this year's Event on Main. The Family Festival will take place on Tuesday, June 23 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Main Street (which will be closed) at Liberty in Ann Arbor. It will be a free event featuring street artists (face painters, balloon twister, etc.), live entertainment (Ariel & Zoey & Eli, Too; Fiddlers ReStrung; Michigan Xtreme Cheer & Dance; U-M's "Revolution"; Pioneer HS Theatre Guild; "Maximum Will" jazz combo; GameBoi), crafts (Ann Arbor Art Center), activities (Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum), ice cream (Ben & Jerry's), plantains (Jamaican Jerk Pit), a photo booth (Pix Photo Booth), Paws from the Detroit Tigers, Ronald McDonald, Bubba and Spike from W4 Country, Matt Hunwick of the Colorado Avalanche (5:30-6:00), and many other fun activities for the whole family.
